Letters from Paarl Girls High
Being in school and having the opportunity to go to a foreign country is awesome. It was great fun trying to speak a language you hardly come in contact with. Capital letters TRYING! Meeting different people and seeing how different they act.
Looking at our land it has its own natural beauty like the mountains, velde, die bosveld etc. It’s amazing how Germany has the same beauty but in the form of art, buildings! The buildings are beautiful! It has a beauty all on its own.
Two weeks with people you don’t know or don’t really hang out with can be cool. You get to know them and how they act normally; you form an event related relationship. Like when me, Caylynn and Selmie got lost on my birthday; all we could do was laugh as we tried (and succeeded) in finding our way back.
Having a winter birthday and then suddenly you have one in summer! Now that’s a cool (or hot) experience.
Seeing teachers and how they act on normal days is an experience.

The tour to Germany was a really good experience for me. We had a lot of fun times and made some friends there as well. We learnt a lot at the museums we visited and really enjoyed it. The carnival in Düsseldorf was almost the best part of the tour for me, and I would really like to go back again. Going to the chocolate factory in Köln was really nice and interesting.

Luxemburg lyk presies soos ‘n “fairytale”. Dit was so mooi! Definitief iets om te beleef.

Letter from the agent regarding the Rhenish Girls High School Tour
Hi Pamela
I spoke yesterday afternoon to the guide; I believe the group were very much enjoying their stay in London. They liked the fish and chip lunch at the Anchor Pub and were pleased to be taking lunch in Covent Garden as it meant they had a little time for shopping in the area.
This morning the organiser of the Eagles netball team emailed me to advise that last nights match was thoroughly enjoyed by both teams; apparently the Rhenish girls played some really good netball. I hope that the girls enjoyed playing against the Falcons Netball, the guide advised that the girls were very happy to be able to play some netball even if it was against a more skilled and older 1st team.
I believe the departure transfer would have run well this morning as they had the drivers name and mobile and I didn’t receive any calls at 04.00 hrs!
I hope we can work again with you on your future groups; our netball contacts are keen to host other groups.
Best wishes
Lana

Student tour to New Zealand: Marlborough wine region
Marlborough is New Zealand’s vinous colossus, producing around three quarters of the country’s wine. Visit little boutique wineries where you can taste the different types of wine and enjoy the outdoor beauty of the vineyards. The Marlborough Region is not only about wine, there is also a fantastic brewery, the Renaissance Brewery, that provides a delicious malty Stonecutter Scotch Ale. This is truly a cultural experience for any student tour group to New Zealand.

Waitomo Caves
Academic school groups or school sport teams can admire the combination of an incredible network of limestone. If you are a thrill seeker (more for the sporty), try out the ‘black-river’ rafting (white-river rafting in the dark) or underground abseiling. If not, take a stroll through a glowworm cave and admire the local luminaries (bookworms will enjoy this).

Relax at the Hot Water Beach in New Zealand
Is your school swim team all tired and tensed up? The Hot Water Beach in New Zealand is famous for its hot water that oozes up from beneath the surface of a rocky outcrop in the middle of the beach. Find a spot, dig a hole, and you have your own personal spa pool. After competing against a local school swim team you can enjoy the sites of the area.
